Summer seemed to come late this year to the mountains and we are all a little wistful as we say goodbye to the warm evenings by the lake.  I love everything about summer in the Adirondacks; maybe when it is cold and snowy for so many months in the North, we cherish our summers a little bit more. Sabrina and Shai’s portrait session captured the essence of summer from the smell of campfires to dipping your toes into the lake on a hot day.

A few weeks ago, we had a beautiful warm evening to explore the forests and lake around their home. I have known Sabrina and Shai for years and when we moved back to upstate NY, they were some of the first to welcome us back to the area. I am so glad to call them friends and I know they are going to have so many amazing adventures together as they go through life : )

Sabrina looked stunning in her white and gold wedding dress. She managed to make climbing up a rock wall, traipsing through the woods, and paddling a canoe, in a wedding dress, look effortless and gorgeous! Her wildflower bouquet was picked from her flower garden 5 minutes before our session and was perfect : )

No matter how much time is set aside for portraits on a wedding day, there is never enough time to take all the portraits that we hope to.
