Summer seemed to come late this year to the mountains and we are all a little wistful as we say goodbye to the warm evenings by the lake. I love everything about summer in the Adirondacks; maybe when it cold and snowy for so many months in the North, we cherish our summers a little bit more. Sabrina and Shai’s portrait session captured the essence of summer from the smell of damp earth after a thunderstorm to dipping your toes into the lake on a hot day.
I was so honored to photograph Becca’s maternity session on a beautiful little pond outside of Saranac Lake, NY. We had a great time just enjoying the beautiful light and taking some amazing photographs. Some of my favorite photographs from the session are the ones where she standing on the dock with beautiful light surrounding her.
There is one piece of advice that I can give for planning a wedding: look beyond the day of your wedding and consider the memories that will last a lifetime. How could you not love an Adirondack fall wedding that involved a stunning view of Whiteface, a bicycle built for two and a super cute bear cake topper!
As primarily a wedding photographer I relish the times when I can squeeze in a family portrait session. Stacy was having a large family reunion at the Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid and loved the idea of having a family session at the lodge.
Sometimes you just need a break from editing photographs, answering emails and running a business; today was the perfect day to take a break. The snow started falling early this morning and did not stop until after the sun had set behind the mountains. Essex is a beautiful town and maybe even more so in […]
Sarah and Matt’s weddings was one of the those weddings where you just can’t stop smiling the whole time because you know that what you are a witness to something truly special. While I was editing their photographs I could not stop smiling either because looking at their photographs just brought me right back to their wedding day. […]
Who wouldn’t love to photograph a super cute “camp” family. We had beautiful light, and even caught the sunset down at the swim docks!
