Lake Placid Mountain Maternity Session

“Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze” – John Denver

I had this song running through my head for almost the whole time during this amazing photography session in Lake Placid this week : ) Christina was a beautiful glowing mountain momma who was just all smiles standing next her love, with the mountains reaching up to the heavens behind them.

We planned their session at the last minute while they were up for a vacation to the Adirondacks and Lake Placid to enjoy a little time away before the arrival of their baby girl. They were a joy to photograph, and as you can probably tell from their smiles and big laughs just a fun couple to spend an evening with!

We started at the Whiteface Lodge which is so special because it is were Kurt proposed to Christina! I wanted to then capture some beautiful portraits in the still snow covered woods right out side of town. We were so lucky that the air was warm but the snow still covered the grounds in the forests. I loved that Christina dressed up for the second half of our session in beautiful deep purple dress. I think the mountains knew it was a special night and really put on a show for us!

I was so glad that Christina and Kurt were up for one last stop and braved the chilly evening air for a few last pictures overlooking the Adirondack High Peaks. What we captured in those last few minutes are some of my favorite images out of all of their photographs!

Thank you so much Christina and Kurt for taking the time out of your vacation to capture this wonderful time in your lives with me! A big thank you also to Kleigh O. Photos for connecting us.
