And see her he did. Kristina and Kevin’s story began in middle school when they became best friends and started dating in high school. These two are real deal childhood sweethearts, which was apparent from moment I meet them. I was thrilled to photograph their stunning winter wedding at the Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid.
It is always a joy when my brides are so excited about celebrating their wedding day in the glory of the Adirondacks. When I walked into the getting ready suite in the morning, it was a flurry of activity and smiles. Bridesmaids where finishing having their hair and makeup done by Kathleen and Andrew, kids where playing with one another and Kristina’s mom was seeming to enjoy every minute of it.
I loved that Kristina and her mom had a vision for the day with every detail thought through, from the pinecone name cards to the hand painted champaign glasses. The flowers where a gorgeous mix of evergreens, glowing whites, hues of purple and a dash of sparkle for the finishing touch. Sarah White of Boquet Valley Blooms and Nicole of the Whiteface Lodge did an amazing job pulling off the stunning florals and table settings that glowed in the candlelight.
With Christmas in the air and love surrounding them Kristina and Kevin said their vows in the beautiful Kanu Room of the Lodge. Guests enjoyed drinks and cocktails in the Whispering Pines sitting by the crackling fireplace while we captured some sweet portraits before their reception.
Thank you Kristina, Kevin and you families for allowing me to capturing you wonderful wedding. I love your photographs and I hope they bring you joy for years to come!
