“Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.” – Ann Landers
We were gripping our seats in the truck, balancing camera gear and trying to keep the change of clothes from sliding off our laps, all while laughing the whole way up Gore Mountain. After climbing out the truck and taking in the stunning views of the Adirondacks, Tim pointed to the peak to our left where in -10° weather with winds swirling, he proposed to Maggie during one of their ski trips. I loved looking over to that peak during their fall engagement session, and thinking of the joy and excitement that they both must have been feeling at that moment.
Maggie and Tim were so wonderful to work with. With the sunset right around 6:00 in the Mountains of New York and beautiful overcast skies overhead, we started the session about two and a half hours before sunset. This left us plenty of perfect daylight before the sunset. I was in love with the light that evening and am so thrilled about their images.
My goal is always to capture my couples personalities and Tim and Maggie have a sweet love, and such joyful personalities that shine through in their images. All of my couples receive my Engagement Session Style Guide after booking, and I love when they take it to heart. I truly believe feeling great allows my couples to shine. Maggie and Tim could not have looked more radiant together, and I loved the navy dress Maggie decided to wear!
Thank you both for choosing to be a little adventurous during your engagement session, and picking a location that you both love in the Adirondacks!
