Could their be a more whimsical name for a wedding ceremony than Camp Sundog on Rainbow Lake?
I think I would be hard pressed to find a more summery wedding ceremony location! I am so glad that Meghan and Jack’s summer Adirondack wedding was filled with warm sunshine and a sweet breeze.
The wedding day started with Meghan getting ready at the Adirondack camp on Rainbow Lake that their family spends part of the summer at each year. Katherine Oropallo did a beautiful job with Meghan’s hair and makeup. She looked absolutely ethereal when she walked down the aisle with bare-feet and the sun glowing.
Meghan’s mom did the flowers, which were so romantic. I love that she used the ferns and fiddleheads from the woods around the cabin. The green and white wedding flowers were so pretty with her flowing lace wedding dress. After taking family photographs at Camp Sundog, everyone went to for drinks and hors d’oeuvre’s back at the cabin.
We then took the short drive to the Lake Placid Lodge in Lake Placid for the reception dinner. Standing on the veranda overlooking Lake Placid and the mountains is stunning especially as the sun is setting behind the lodge, casting it’s last light on the mountains. I was so glad that Meghan and Jack reserved some time between cocktails and dinner to venture down to the docks with me for photographs by the water. I love the little stone path leading down the water. And you just can’t beat the red umbrellas and adirondack chairs against the green forests.
I love the sweat calm love that these two have for each other that could be seen throughout the day. Thank you giving me the opportunity to photograph your beautiful wedding Meghan and Jack! – Julia
