Adirondack Mountains Engagement & Maternity Session

“Keep close to Nature’s heart… and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” – John Muir

I feel like I have know Brittany from the first email she sent me asking about wedding and engagement photography. She just has one of those bubbly, super sweet personalities that even comes through in the emails that we sent each other back and forth planning their session. They were both so darling to work with and I love how Brett just kept looking at her like she was his whole world.

In the time that Brittany booked their engagement session with me from the date we had choosen, she found out that they are expecting a little bundle of joy as well! So we tweaked their session to be a little bit of both an engagement and maternity session, which was so fun!

We met Brittany and Brett at their home in Keene, and was welcomed by a flock of chickens and their dog Sugar! If I ever get another dog, I am totally stealing the name Sugar! So cute! We followed them up a winding dirt road to Brett’s families home that sits on the side of the mountain over looking the valley of Keene. The view was absolutely stunning to say the least.

It had been beautiful all day, but about 20 minutes into their photography session a thunderstorm rolled in over the Adirondack Mountains and we ran for the porch! These two did not let it bother them one bit though, and we just took the evening in stride! Even though we were running for the porch every 20 minutes because of the rain, their photos came out gorgeous.

I would also like to say that Brittany rocked the winged eyeliner like nobodies business and I love a good winged eye : )  Thank you Brittany and Brett for an amazing session!

“I am completely in love with the pictures!!! They look incredible!”
