I ADORE family photographs.  I am very lucky to be able to look back at the photographs of my grandparents, great grandparents and parents growing up in family photo albums. Family portraits are something that maybe in todays age we don’t do as often as we should. Yes, we all take many photographs but carving out time to take great family portraits is so important. We never know what is in store for us and our families a year from now or even next week. I am so glad that this family decided to take extended family portraits together.

Cheryl contacted me when their photographer fell through at the last minute and of course I was happy to step in as their photographer. Her brother and his beautiful family is moving across the country and as part of the last weekend before the move, the family decided to have photographs taken. We met at beautiful Seamons Park  in my hometown of Saugerties, NY. We had the park to ourselves, maybe because of the impending rain so we made the most of it! We took formal portraits and then just had a great time walking around and playing on the old jungle gym. A little drizzle didn’t even put a damper on the day and the kiddos even spotted a fox!
