Adirondack Summer Wedding

Sarah and Matt’s weddings was one of the those weddings where you just can’t stop smiling the whole time because you know that what you are a witness to something truly special. While I was editing their photographs I could not stop smiling either because looking at their photographs just brought me right back to their wedding day. I love all the weddings I photograph but it makes my job especially enjoyable when I have the opportunity to spend it with two wonderful people and their families.

Adirondack weddings are magical to say the least. Couples travel from all over to have their wedding in the Adirondack Mountains. I think people experience a slowing down and peace when they come here and want that tranquility on there wedding day. Being a wedding Photographer in the Adirondacks is truly amazing and this spring wedding in the mountains was gorgeous.

Matt and Sarah had an intimate wedding of just their families and a few close friends. The ceremony took place at the Canoe Club at Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid. The setting was perfect, with a bright blue sky and Adirondack Mountains rising up in the distance. The wedding ceremony was probably one of the most heart felt ceremony’s I have ever witnessed. Both Sarah and Matt wrote their own vows for each other and had me tearing up while they read them.

The Adirondacks are not home for Sarah and Matt, but they have a special place in their hearts for the mountains. After the ceremony, Matt told me they have a photograph of two adirondack chairs in their home, so of coarse we had to take a photo of them in Adirondack chairs! They were up for any idea I threw their way, from walking in a field of wild flowers to hanging with an owl at the reception!

I feel like all of the elements where aligning with us that day, from the beautiful weather, to wildlife to the full moon that shone above the Whiteface Lodge. I hope they have a loving and eternal marriage with their families now joined as one.
